WTF Chat Part 3 - Faith, Politics and Race

This is the final episode of a three-part conversation between me an Brandon, Gilvin, my co-creator and co-editor of the WTF? (Where’s the Faith?) book series, coming in February from Chalice Press.

We talk about SPLIT TICKET, the second book in the series coming in fall, 2010, about faith and politics.

We also talk about the third book coming in the series, now titled YOU PEOPLE (in the show we call it a different name), about faith and race, and we preview potential working titles stretching into the future.

We wrap up by talking about what we’re looking for from prospective contributors and editors, and how you can find us. If you’ve thought about writing for this series, this is the show you have to check out.

  1. Great discussion on the “You People” book! You and Brandon really highlighted what we, Yvonne and I (the co-editors), wish to highlight. Thank you!

One correction: I was born in Puerto Rico, which makes my experience of rejection on Puerto Rican soil all the more poignant.

Lastly, I encourage you to read my next article in DisciplesWorld on activism and “Absentee Advocacy”. Could it become a piece for “It’s Not All About You”?

Blessings! …Jose PS–Brandon… “I can pound this all day long”!?!?!

  2. Btw, according to the test on the “Stuff White People Like” website, I am 70-80% white! Yikes! Lord, help me!
